When and where is the Anderson Gaslight Festival?

The Anderson Gaslight Festival will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, along Historic West 8th Street and surrounding side streets in Anderson, Indiana.

Festival Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

How do I apply to become a vendor?

Complete the vendor application and submit payment by Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

We encourage vendors to apply early, as booth placement on West 8th Street is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What types of vendors are welcome?

We welcome:

  • Artisans and makers

  • Craft vendors

  • Retail vendors

  • Community organizations

  • Nonprofit organizations

  • Food trucks

  • Food trailers

  • Food tents

How much does a booth cost?

Food Vendors

Food Truck, Food Trailer, or Food Tent

  • Single Space (12' x 25'): $130

Craft, Artisan & For-Profit Vendors

  • Single Booth (12' x 12'): $60

  • Double Booth (12' x 24'): $120

Nonprofit Organizations

Booth fees are waived.

Simply enter the code NONPROFIT when completing your application.

What if I need a larger booth?

If you need additional space beyond the standard booth sizes, please contact us before registering so we can discuss accommodations.

Where will my booth be located?

Booths located on Historic West 8th Street are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

As the festival fills, vendors may be assigned to nearby side streets. These locations remain highly visible and receive strong foot traffic throughout the day.

Specific booth requests cannot be accommodated. Vendors will receive their assigned location upon arrival at check-in.

When do vendors check in?

Craft, Artisan, Retail & Community Vendors

  • Check-in: 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Food Vendors

  • Check-in: 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Please arrive within your designated check-in window.

What do I need to bring?

Craft, artisan, retail, nonprofit, and community vendors must provide:

  • Tent

  • Tables

  • Chairs

  • Displays

  • Any additional booth equipment needed

Are tents required?

If using a tent:

  • It must be made of flame-retardant material

  • Each leg must be secured with at least 20 pounds of weight

Is electricity available?

Electricity is very limited.

  • Available only for a small number of non-food vendor booths

  • Provided on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Not guaranteed

  • Not available for food trucks, food trailers, or food tents

Please plan to operate without electricity whenever possible.

What are the requirements for food vendors?

Food vendors must:

  • Hold all required Department of Health certifications

  • Comply with all applicable health regulations

  • Supply their own water

  • Use a quiet generator that operates at 58 decibels or less

Can I leave before the festival ends?

No.

Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Vendors who leave early may not be invited to participate in future Anderson Gaslight Festivals.

Can I keep my trailer at my booth?

Trailers may only be used for loading and unloading unless they are part of a registered food truck or food trailer operation.

Am I responsible for sales tax and insurance?

Yes.

All vendors are responsible for:

  • Collecting and remitting Indiana sales tax (when applicable)

  • Carrying any necessary booth or business insurance

Can I use the Anderson Gaslight Festival logo or name?

No.

The Anderson Gaslight Festival name and logo may not be used without prior authorization.

Are there restrictions on what can be sold?

Yes.

The festival is family-friendly. Offensive or obscene materials are prohibited, including but not limited to:

  • Confederate flags

  • Nazi symbols

  • Communist symbols

  • Pornographic materials

Vendors displaying prohibited items will be removed from the festival.

What are vendors expected to do during the event?

All vendors are expected to:

  • Keep their booth and surrounding area clean

  • Dispose of trash properly

  • Follow all festival rules

  • Follow all City of Anderson ordinances and regulations

  • Respect festival staff and fellow vendors
