At the time when this house is recorded as being built (1840) this lot was part of a 40 acre parcel purchased by William Papus in 1839. He doesn’t sell the parcel again for a few years so we are guessing that he built the house. However, there are multiple sales of the lot after Mr. Papus. At some point the larger acreage was divided resulting in the lot size the house now sits on.
