Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams built the house in the late 1800s. He was the owner and operator of a greenhouse on John Street between 5th and 6th Streets. In 1946, when the property was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Norton, Mr. Williams was still alive at the age of 90 and living here.
