A house on this lot was originally built in 1880.  The owner at that time was Lafe Burr so we believe he built the original structure.  It was originally on lots that were divived in 1858 by the Hazeltts. The Hamiltons and Hazletts sold to Eli Goodykoontz in 1863 for an unknown amount. They sold it in 1875 for $4,020 to Fredrick Tyker. Mr. Tyker sold in December 1880 to Mr. Lafe Burr for $2,200. Mr. Burr sold to Mr. Hodson in 1887 for $2,700. No records were found until 1917 when Mr. J.F Fadley took out a substantial mortgage which may have been used to remodel or rebuild the home.
