The C.F. Phelps House

Built: 1902

Style: Colonial

This home was built in 1902 by C.F. Phelps, contractor for Percy H. and Mildred E. Doyle. Mr. Doyle was the Paymaster at the Tin Plate Mill. The current owners purchased the home in 1976 and have lived here for 48 years! The flower gardens are the owner’s passion and her happy place. Her gardening skills stand out exceptionally, with many quaint and serene garden areas. Colorful daylilies and tall daisies first greet you right at the street. Around the back, is a shady area that spills into a sunny backyard that extends to 9th Street. Full of a variety of pollinator-friendly plants and fun garden decorations, this backyard oasis is a little bit of heaven on earth.
